Some directors pay no regard to the issue of organizing the work of an accountant or an accounting department; the list of necessary requirements may include: a computer, software, a desk, stationery, and Internet access. Is it sufficient?
To provide an answer, the question should be considered in detail:
The computer should be modern, since the 1C and other necessary programs will be installed on it. For the smooth operation of the programs, it is important to install additional equipment (UPS). A printer is also required.
Antivirus. Data should be protected. If we lose them, the restoration will be VERY costly. You can use the compromised or free version, but who works well for free nowadays? The value of the matter, as compared to the amount of the restoration, is laughably small. Do use only a licensed product.
1C should be licensed. Because we must have a guarantee that we can calculate all taxes and generate all reports from the program, rather than manually. You need to be sure that the supplier company is monitoring changes in the Legislation and updates them in a timely manner. You also should configure the automatic redundancy of the 1C base.
1C maintenance agreement. The database should be relevant, and assistance of operators is required, too. The absence of the software product maintenance is one of the reasons forcing accountants to begin to perform part of the work manually. To get 1C installed is not enough, it should be maintained, and the accountant needs advice on emerging issues related to the product.
Norma software product provides the access to regulatory documents. If you want an accountant to work to the highest standard, then you should provide access to the regulatory document database, otherwise your accountant will become degraded.
Courses and workshops. Your accountant needs to evolve. Not all accountants want to do it, but if your accountant is eager to, and you require that he/she should be knowledgeable, you should allocate money and time so that they could take such courses and attend appropriate workshops.
IT specialist. E-imzo, e-stat, and the bank-client should be installed to enable an accountant to work. Since accountants are techno-klutzes, you will need an IT specialist’s services.
Furniture. The workspace should be properly arranged. This includes a separate room, table, chair, storage space for documents.
Stationery includes paper, a stapler, a hole punch, folders, etc. These costs are recurrent.
The kitchen. Accountants like to lounge around drinking tea and, sooner or later, you will arrange a small kitchen for them.
Apart from furniture, appliances, the kitchen, all other expenses are monthly or annual, and you need to be prepared for this.
We have organized the work of the Accounting Department, provided them with the necessary equipment and software, organized the process of training and education of the personnel, our leading specialists systematically undergo refresher training courses. WE also established work with the 1C service providers and network administrators. Cooperating with us, you get already established business processes ready for launch within the agreed timescale.
